LeelaRam Technologies is a small software company in Mumbai. We design and build websites and Shopify stores for clients, and our own Shopify app, SellRank.
We are hiring a design intern to design pages and flows that are built and shipped soon after, so you see your work live. You will work directly with the founder and the developers who build your designs.
This is a good fit if you have a portfolio you are proud of, care about how things work as much as how they look, and want to design for real users.
What you will do
- Design pages and components in Figma for client websites and Shopify stores.
- Design screens for SellRank that follow Shopify's own design system, Polaris.
- Build and look after a small design system: colours, type and components.
- Hand designs to developers with clear specs, and review the pages once they are built.
- Design for phones first, and check accessibility: contrast, text size and tap targets.
- Create social and launch graphics when needed.
What we ask for
- Good working knowledge of Figma.
- A portfolio with at least two or three projects (college or personal projects count).
- A good eye for layout, type and colour.
- Available full-time for three months.
- Able to work from Mumbai on in-office days.
- Able to explain your design decisions in writing.
Good to have
- Familiarity with Shopify themes.
- Basic HTML and CSS.
- Prototyping and motion in Figma.
- Any user research or usability testing.
