SellRank changelog: what's new

SellRank 1.3 — rate SellRank, and steadier scheduled work
You can now rate SellRank from inside the app through Shopify's own review window, and send us a suggestion from Settings. Behind the scenes, scheduled re-sorts, publishes and reverts do their work with far less overhead, and pixel counts are saved in batches without ever showing you a stale number.
- NewRate SellRank from Settings. It opens Shopify's own App Store review window, or SellRank's reviews page on the App Store when Shopify can't show the window just then.
- NewAfter your third successful sync, SellRank may ask once whether you'd like to leave a review, using Shopify's review window. Shopify decides when it can appear, it is asked rarely, and never again once you have reviewed.
- NewSend a suggestion from Settings: ideas and problems go straight to the support inbox, where a person reads every message.
- ImprovedProduct views and add-to-carts are saved in batches. Settings, the analytics and every sort save any waiting counts first, so the numbers you see are always up to date.
- ImprovedScheduled re-sorts, publishes and reverts run exactly as before, with far less background work between them. A scheduled step that fails, for example on a store that has uninstalled, now waits 30 minutes before trying again instead of retrying every minute.
SellRank 1.2 — live on the Shopify App Store
SellRank is approved and listed on the Shopify App Store. The engagement pixel now reports product views and add-to-carts to SellRank reliably, App health shows exactly what it is hearing from your storefront, and plans are approved on Shopify's own page at install and again after any reinstall.
- NewSellRank is on the Shopify App Store: install it from apps.shopify.com/sellrank-collection-sort, free on one collection, with paid plans billed through Shopify.
- FixedThe engagement pixel could send views and add-to-carts to an address that wasn't SellRank, so they were never counted. It now always reports to the address the app runs on, and opening SellRank repairs it if anything points it elsewhere.
- ImprovedEach view or add-to-cart is sent as a single request, so it still counts when a shopper moves on to the next product straight away.
- ImprovedApp health no longer shows a green OK beside zero views. It says when the pixel last heard from your storefront, reads "Waiting" until the first visit, and names the address if the pixel is sending anywhere else.
- ImprovedInstalling SellRank opens Shopify's plan page straight away. Pick a plan, Free included, or leave it: nothing is charged, and the page comes back the next time you open the app.
- FixedReinstalling asks you to approve a plan again. A plan from before the uninstall no longer carries over, even in the first minutes while Shopify finishes cancelling it.
- FixedRight after you approve a plan, the home page shows it, instead of the free preview until the next page load.
- FixedAfter you uninstall, SellRank reliably drops its access to your store, and 48 hours later deletes everything it held for the store, as Shopify's privacy rules require.
SellRank 1.1 — re-sorts on a schedule
Smart sorts can now keep themselves current, re-sorting every day or once a week in the store's own time zone. Collection search covers the whole store, support replies are flagged inside the app, and plans run on Shopify's own plan page.
- NewDaily and weekly re-sorts: set a smart sort to re-sort every day, or once a week on a day you choose, at an hour in your store's own time zone. A run missed during an outage is caught up the same day.
- NewWhole-store collection search: find any collection by name or handle, with spellings like jewelry and jewellery treated as one, or paste a collection link straight from Shopify admin.
- NewSupport replies are flagged in the app: an unread count on Support and a banner on the home page, with the answer in the same thread.
- ImprovedPlans run on Shopify App Pricing: choose, change or cancel a plan on Shopify's own plan page, and the app picks up the change by itself.
- FixedThe schedule badge shows the schedule that is saved, not an unsaved choice, and Save schedule is only active when there is something to save.
- FixedAfter a reinstall, the engagement pixel comes back on the first visit instead of up to six hours later.
SellRank 1.0 — ranks by what sells
The first public release. Every collection in a Shopify store can be ordered by real demand, previewed exactly, and written into Shopify's own manual sort with proof of every position.
- New19 ranking strategies: revenue, orders, conversion, views, add-to-carts, profit, sell-through, newness, discount, ratings, and the weighted Balanced score.
- NewPercentage slots with conditions (in stock, price range, tag, vendor, type) that fill a collection top-down, plus an "everything else" order and out-of-stock push-down.
- NewLive preview with drag & drop, pins, demotions and exact hand placement before anything goes live.
- NewDrafts with scheduled go-live and automatic revert, and a version history you can restore from.
- NewA first-party engagement pixel that counts views and add-to-carts per product from day one, with an optional Google Analytics 4 backfill of up to 90 days.
- NewPer-version performance attribution and hourly sort-health checks that flag any collection drifting from the pushed order, with a one-click re-sync.
- NewA global rule that applies one strategy to every collection without its own smart sort.
- NewIn-app support inbox answered by a person, and plans billed through Shopify: free preview, Grow, Scale and Max.
