The end-to-end redevelopment of a US jewellery brand's production Shopify store
PrimeStyle is a US diamond-jewellery manufacturer and retailer that has sold online since 2001 and served over 100,000 customers. Through an engagement that began on Upwork, LeelaRam Technologies led the redevelopment of its live Shopify storefront end to end — theme architecture, product-management workflows, analytics, third-party integrations, deployments and customer-facing features — working directly with the owner in the United States, and delivered it without taking the store offline.

Where the project started
A twenty-year-old jewellery business with a large catalogue — engagement rings, bridal sets, eternity bands, natural and lab-grown diamonds in every cut — runs on a Shopify store that has grown feature by feature over the years. Every change has to ship to a live, revenue-earning storefront serving the US market, without breaking checkout, product data or the integrations the business depends on. The brief was not a redesign in isolation: it was to take responsibility for the whole platform and move it forward, release after release, while the business kept trading.
How we approached it
- 1
Took ownership of the storefront end to end — theme architecture, custom development, integrations and the deployment process — so there is one accountable team for how the platform behaves.
- 2
Started with the workflows behind the store: how products, variants and collections are managed, how analytics is implemented, and which third-party tools the business runs on, before changing what customers see.
- 3
Shipped in small, verified releases against the live store rather than a big-bang relaunch, so the business kept trading while the platform improved.
- 4
Worked directly with the owner to turn business requirements into scoped technical work, with the same listen-build-prove-grow cycle we use on our own products.

Everything that shipped
Storefront architecture
Ownership of the theme's structure and the custom Shopify development behind it, kept maintainable as the store grows.
Product management workflows
The processes behind a large jewellery catalogue — products, variants, diamond attributes and collections — made faster and less error-prone.
Analytics implementation
Measurement implemented so merchandising and marketing decisions rest on what customers actually do on the store.
Third-party integrations
The apps and services the business runs on, integrated and maintained so they keep working through every release.
Deployment process
A release process for a live production store, so changes shipped safely and often — and still can.
Advanced product customisation
Customer experiences for configuring jewellery — metal, stone, shape — built to scale across the catalogue.
Recommendations & dynamic merchandising
Recommendation systems and merchandising workflows that respond to demand instead of a static order.
Performance-focused enhancements
Storefront speed treated as a feature, with optimisation work in every phase.
