SEO & Content Intern

LeelaRam Technologies is a small software company in Mumbai. Our website publishes guides on Shopify merchandising, search and building software, and we set up SEO for the websites we build for clients.

We are hiring an intern to research what people search for, write and edit articles and page copy, and put SEO into practice on live sites: titles, internal links, structured data and Search Console. Every piece is reviewed by the founder before it is published.

This is a good fit if you write clearly, enjoy finding out how things work, and want to learn SEO by doing it rather than reading about it.

What you will do

• Research the questions buyers ask, using Search Console, Google's suggestions and the pages that rank today.
• Write and edit clear, accurate articles and page copy.
• Optimise pages: titles, descriptions, headings, internal links and image alt text.
• Check facts and sources before anything is published.
• Track clicks and rankings in Search Console and report what moved.
• Help write launch posts for LinkedIn.

What we ask for

• Excellent written English.
• Samples of your writing: a blog, articles, college publications or anything else you have written.
• Interest in e-commerce, technology or online businesses.
• Available full-time for three months.
• Able to work from Mumbai on in-office days.

Good to have

• SEO basics, or experience with Google Search Console or Google Analytics.
• Basic HTML.
• Familiarity with Shopify.
• Canva or another design tool.
